TRADE WINDS (2013)
Hailed by the Globe and Mail for their “tremendous flair and intensity,” Tiresias Duo was formed by Mark Takeshi McGregor and pianist Rachel Kiyo Iwaasa in 2002. Trade Winds explores the musical ties between Canada and Japan with recordings by Canadian composers Kara Gibbs, Anthony Genge, Elliot Weisgarber, Hiroki Tsurumoto, and Derek Charke; and Japanese composers Jo Kondo and Toru Takemitsu.
